The video works featured in the Constellation space come from varied sources, from Daniel Alexander Jones video series Aten to his home photos and youtube footage. They mark ancestors' familial blood lines - Daniel’s mother & grandmother - as well as artistic mentors - Robbie McCauley and Laurie Carlos.  These are cherished and steadfast moments of love, inspiration, mentorship.

Collaborators over the last 25 years, Daniel and Kimberlee have shared mentors like Carlos and bonds around the importance of essential family members who brought countless lessons of all sorts, creating blessed bridges over other fragmented and challenging circumstances and interruptions.  Kimberlee recollects the embodiment practices and language within the world of the actors and director held by Daniel and Laurie Carlos.  These exchanges were the first in her world to give language to a process she followed internally, intuitively via art making and later reengaged with through conscious dance and embodiment practices.   

Daniel and Kimberlee invite consideration of ancestors, life cycles, and our relationship to the environment in which we live, and the universal symbols that mark it. Sylvie Minot has acted as a mentor throughout the process and Laura Inserra sound alchemy enlivens the space.
